FAQ

Can I Accompany My Child for the First Few Days?

We arrange for the first three days to be half day so that the transition from home to school is less challenging for children and parents. For this period, we allow one parent to spend the first hour or so with the child in the Centre.

Based on ECDA's latest Revised Measures for Preschools on 9 Nov 2021, parents of newly enrolled children may be allowed into the preschool premises, subject to a stipulated list of Safe Management Measures. We suggest visitors to contact us for the details.

What are the Types of Meals Provided?

Twinklekidz provides balanced and nutritious meals according to the guidelines from the Health Promotion Board. All of our Centres have participated in the Healthy Meals for Child Care Centres Programme (HMCCP) every year by the Health Promotion Board. This Award recognises Childcare Centres that provide healthier food options and promote healthy eating habits. A copy of our award winning 4 week menu is available upon registration.

Twinklekidz also provides vegetarian menu at some Centres. Please check with the Management of the Centre for more information. Mealtimes are an extension to our approach of learning through experiences, and it is certainly never too early to encourage healthy eating habits. It has also been proven that the right nutrition is crucial to brain development.

Special dietary needs and food allergies will be addressed at the time of registration and recorded in the child’s personal file to ensure safe and healthy meals for all our children.

Will Children have Nap / Shower times?

Twinklekidz provides a balanced routine for our children which includes nap times as planned in the classroom weekly schedule.

Nap time for the younger age groups are usually between 12:30 to 3:00pm. The nap time for older age group will be 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

With the ongoing COVID-19, we have been advised by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) that there will be no showering unless the child has soiled themselves or have special allergenic needs. This will be determined on a case by case basis.
